A Simple Guide to School Counseling Websites

Your digital face matters!

Hop on just about any school counseling department’s website and take a look around. 9 times out of 10 – the website looks like it is straight from the turn of the millennium. It also happens to be about as useful. Luckily for you – there are some really easy and FREE tools out there to make your school counseling websites both useful AND beautiful. Check out the video below to learn about how to quickly and easily setup a new website using Weebly.com.

My school counseling website (nthscounseling.weebly.com) is built on Weebly and really didn’t take all that long. Other websites are available too if Weebly is not your bag of tricks. Wix.com is another great tool as is the free version of WordPress (this is a little more complex though). This website is built on the non-free version of WordPress.

As always – please check with your IT, PR, or Admin before putting a new website in place to ensure it fits within current policy. I don’t want to be encouraging any rebels.

Lastly – if you have redesigned your website or have a beautiful website – share your link in the comments. I love to look (and potentially borrow) ideas, inspiration or tools. Share the wealth and help another colleague out!
