10 Must Have Office and Wardrobe Additions for Back To School
With summer break looming or already here for many school counselors around the US – the fall still leaves a lot of questions in terms of what school will look like with the COVID-19 outbreak and mitigation measures. I was poking around Etsy the other day and found some great items that I think make a super BTS roundup. Check out the items below that make up the 10 Must Have Back To School Essentials for School Counselors to get your office and wardrobe ready for a return to our office or to our virtual space this fall.
Principals, supervisors, and co-workers – it’s time to shop for those sometimes overlooked but all too important people in your office – the school counselors! The first full week of February is our yearly celebration of the profession and is used as an opportunity to support and promote the role of the school counselor. We call it National School Counseling Week. You can check out the celebrations happening around the country via social media using the #NSCW18 (or the two numbers of the current year at the end)
Don’t let their hard work go unnoticed. A kind word, a coffee, some cookies are always nice. There are also nice things that you can buy that not only help us know you support us but also allow us to support our profession! Check out some great shopping ideas for your school counselors below to help celebrate National School Counseling Week.
Hi everyone – I wanted to share something new that I was trying. I like all the different SWAG that is around that promotes school counseling and want to give you all opportunities to get some school counselor focused shirts, coffee mugs, pillows, posters, stickers and more. You can find a the designs on two different sites (info on each below) for your shopping convenience.
If you are like most school counselors… …your space is at a premium. Your office is small, desk is cramped and sometimes you feel like a squirrel in the fall trying to pack all your papers somewhere that you can find before the end of the next decade. Me too.
If you are new to this (roughly) bi-monthly feature – please check out the past editions of the School Counselor Shopping List for other school counselor tested and approved items, resources, books, and other goodies. I hope you enjoy this fall edition and check out a few things that may help your programs to grow.
For June and July – I am going to feature a few of my new office favorites, but also going to share some tools that I totally dig outside of the office (since it is summer!). You may notice a cooking/travel theme for the non-school items…but hey – tis the season!
