Calling all PSC’s!
That time has come, the first day of school has come and gone for me and for many of you. That means our principals (and maybe ourselves if we are on top of things) are calling for our yearly goals.
I am curious of what you have set your goals to be this year? As I develop my own goals, I would love to read some of yours posted in the comments below or via email. I hope to enhance my idea of the plethora of different goals we have for the 2013-2014 school years. So – what are you shooting for? Sound off below.

I love this idea! We should do a link party later in the year on this topic and an #SCCHAT. I am waiting for things to calm down with transfer in students and all the other issues that come up at the beginning of the school year. We got a new student information system at the end of last year so our lives have been consumed with training and learning how to do our jobs all over again.
For sure one of my goals will be:
The School Counselor will work towards increasing senior class FAFSA completion rate to 50% by March 1, 2014 by coordinating full implementation of student electronic portfolios, parent programming 1st semester focused on college funding, FAFSA completion events and continued ISAC Corp. collaboration.
Last year or rate was 42.05% by March 1; the State rate by the same date was 51%. I am very excited to see if we can meet this goal this year since we were so close last year.
