Last year you helped me raise enough money to help send Megan Kelly to ASCA 2013 in Philadelphia, PA by helping her with the registration consts and you can read about her experience here. This year, I am upping the ante – I want to raise enough funds to send two counselors to ASCA 2014 in Orlando, FL. That means my goal is to reach at least $700 by January 31 ($349 per registration for ASCA members).

I know that many of you pay for for your trip out of pocket – but newer counselors and graduate students typically do not have as much availability to attend the great professional development opportunities that ASCA provides at the yearly conference.

I have close to 800 followers on Twitter and over 100 of you visit this page each day. If all of my twitter friends donated only $1 – we could easily meet this goal and help two or more deserving counselors attend the conference. By skipping two Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes, you could donate $10 (plus save the calories) and we could blow past the goal of sending just two counselors,  but send three or more!

This year, I am using the GoFundMe platform to collect donations and will be holding a sign-up in early February to collect interested counselors to provide the scholarships to.

If you can donate, please visit this donation page or use the widget below. If you cannot donate $1, $5, $10, or more – please donate a tweet, Facebook post, email, or conversation with people you are in contact with.

Finally, I will also be seeking corporate donations or sponsorship. If you are a company that wants to make a difference and sponsor the registration of a counselor – please email me.
