Top of 2016
My Favorite Posts of the Year2016 was an excellent year!
I don’t know about you, but 2016 was a challenging, fun and overall – great year for me. I had to miss ASCA 2016, but had my son Joel which is a good excuse! The School Counselor Community Scholarship continues to grow each year – we are looking forward to awarding the funds to the applicants in the coming months. Plus I am still having fun (and finding time) to blog about once or twice a month. I love getting to learn with everyone.
I always like to look back at the end of each year and pick my favorite posts. This year – I am picking 3. Check out my Top of 2016 posts below. Happy Holidays from The Counseling Geek and family!

Happy Holidays from Jeff, Jaclyn and Joel Ream
#1: 3 Habits of Efficient (Yet Caring) School Counselors
One of my tops because I feel this is a vital, but often forgotten, aspect of being a school counselor (or any professional really). Hope you enjoy this flashback.
#2: Putting The You In YouTube: Taking It To The Next Level
Using YouTube in my school counseling practice has become one of my favorites. I feel like it ebbs and flows because I find new ways I can utilize videos (both ones that I create and videos of others). There are so many great (and many not so great) videos available that have application to school counseling at any level. This tutorial shows you how to use it to help get information out to your stakeholders.
#3: 10 Insanely Easy Ways to Infuse Technology in Your School Counseling Program
This was a user favorite – one of my most visited posts of the year. Everyone comes with a different proficiency in technology and I hope to be able to help those at all levels. With 10 tools – there is something in this post for everyone.
